JJ's Pub, 1 & 2 October 2004
118 Ave & St.Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB
The Friday night crowd began to roll in around 9:30 and the band crept up the bar to order some pre-show drinks. As usual, Glen pops up for a Pepsi on ice, Robin a nice cold Bud, Dragon may have ordered some Rum and myself, well the usual please. A cold Labatts Blue.
Sets 1 and 2 went off without a hitch, we played well and with loads of energy, until the devistating 3rd set, I'm not sure exactly what it was but alchohol may have been a contributing factor, it seemed like the party died. The fans could have been exhausted or burnt from a long work week or just partied out, all I know is, by 1:00 am the show was over. We bashed thru the brutal 3rd, the playing was fine it just didn't feel right. Were looking forward to kicking some ass tonight there again and hopefully there is a better atmosphere. I want to thank Jamie, Amber, Dwayne, Nub, Kent, Kelly, Tasha, Jim & Denise (our Seedgirl) for coming out and supporting us.
As some people would say, "Night & Day" thats how Saturday felt, the entire night I would have to say this was the tightest we have ever played together. There were adjustments made to the sets and it seemed to pay off, we kept the crowd on the floor and in good spirits. More tequila's were passed out and the band enjoyed every single one. Thanks to those who came out, it was a wicked way to kick off our break and I wish I had the camera rolling. Doh!
